THOMAS: I’m getting awful tired. Been crawling through this hardening mud for far too long. I’m face down and I couldn't care less  about carrying on in a world that won’t seem to spin right round and I can’t decide now. I can’t decide on what we thought the point could ever be. There is no reason. There is no answer The world chose to watch you die slowly in the night. Day after day after day we pretend this never even happened. Denial or heartache indescribable. BACK TO THE OCEAN: I found myself on the floor. Eyes shut tight enough to look back inside my brain. Shattered glass, broken bottle caps. I could hear the boiling but I hid from the sound. I found myself a cage of skin. Tiger’s claw and tiger’s jaw gnaw from inside my veins. Shattered my guts and bled me out, bled me out in tears. Reducing me to rubble grasping for a piece of you. My Faith in perfect weather. My Faith inside my soul. You told me its not what you think on the other side. You’re alive inside another spoke on the wheel of life. And you told me we all come from the sun. And we go back to the ocean.

I wrote my first song, "Come From The Sun" in an afternoon on the 20th of June and gave it to my older sister, Charity, on her birthday. In February of this year (2015) we lost our sister to Ovarian Cancer and we'd all been dealing with our grieving process in our own ways. After writing that song, it was then that I decided I could give a voice to each of my immediate family members, by writing a song from their perspective, and giving them the collection of songs as gift on our first Christmas without our sweet sister, Faith Wilder. This is the sole purpose of this project. This is for them.

I've been playing guitar for around 2 years. But I've been writing lyrics and songs for around 6 years as the singer of Carnival Barker and other bands. Visit carnivalbarker.bandcamp.com if you are interested in checking that out.
